Bar Professional Training Course gives you the best possible training for life as a barrister and we are so confident we are offering a Career Guarantee. The programme starts with an induction to the core nature of the profession and programme and legal research. You then study a number of compulsory modules that cover the key skills and knowledge areas required for the profession. On successfully completing our BPTC, you'll be fully prepared for the demands of life as a barrister – and you'll be eligible to be called to the Bar of England and Wales (subject to meeting the qualifying sessions requirement of your Inn of Court).

Entry requirements

Applicants require a qualifying law degree (minimum lower 2nd Class Honours) or qualifying non-law degree (minimum lower 2nd Class Honours) and a GDL or CPE. You must also pass the Bar Course Aptitude Test (BCAT) and join an Inn of Court.
