Taught by academics from our renowned Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM), the syllabus for this course has been developed with input from intellectual property practitioners from some of the UK’s leading companies and practices.

Course accreditation

The Intellectual Property Regulation Board (IPReg) are the independent regulatory body for patent and trade mark attorneys and are responsible for setting the education and training requirements for qualification as a patent attorney and a trade mark attorney.

Opportunities such as a 12-month paid traineeship European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) or the European Patent Office (EPO) make this course a great option to prepare you for a legal career.

This unit has two aims: to give you a sound grounding in the principles underpinning international law and, building on this knowledge, to examine the World Trade Organisation as a prime example of an international organisation.

Entry requirements

Students need a bachelors honours degree with 2:2 in any subject, or equivalent. International entry requirements: If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in all other components.
