Overview:
Responding to global market trends, the digital economy and constant change, our MBA Global Business course addresses the needs of a new generation of business leaders by exploring the creation, development and sustainable growth of businesses globally.
Explore a range of subject areas at the level of start-ups, Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and sector leading organisations. Develop an analytical understanding of global business in the context of an increasingly changing environment, through the critical analysis and evaluation of new concepts and managerial practices in addressing diverse macro and micro business environments. Apply the acquired personal and professional skills to real business situations, evaluate the results and develop innovative solutions.
As the title suggests, every aspect of this course is internationalised. To support this, and to enable you to put your learning into both global context and practice, opportunities exist to engage with employers and institutions in other countries. For example, if you choose to do an internship consultancy project, you could arrange to undertake it abroad. Opportunities also include: international field trips (visiting businesses, universities or events); collaboration on projects with students at our international participating universities. Our typically diverse cohort may mean that you will get the opportunity to learn from, and gain vital experience in working effectively with, people from different cultures.
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to: Critically evaluate the impact of contextual forces on organisations. Systematically assess social and ethically responsible leadership to achieve business outcomes in a sustainable manner. Evaluate the policies, concepts and processes in the production and marketing of goods and services in international business contexts. Critically appraise finance and management accounting principles, and systematically review their relevance to business decision-making.
