Finance MBA
Coventry University
Shaima, May 2010Overall score
It's a very nice peaceful city and close to big cities like Birmingham. You won't worry where to go.
if you want to study in Coventry, always give yourself at least a couple of months before you judge the course or the university. Usually students feel lost when they first come here and feel they are going to fail, but with attending lectures and revising it will be piece of cake.
Study experience
Courses are good, but other universities teach more modules than Coventry; at coventry you study 8 modules while in other universities you study around 12-15 modules. Yet the teaching experience is very good and teachers are very welcoming and helpful.
Coventry nurture the confidence in you which is the key element for any success.
Stay in contact with teachers and become a friend to them; you learn a lot from only chatting with them.
Facilities
There are enough computers for postgraduate students since there are many labs only for them.
But you may suffer when printing colourful pages, since there are only 2-4 colourful photocopier in the whole university.
There is a very nice sports facility for the university and very cheap, but it has no swimming pool.
Postgraduate life
There are clubs and socities but i haven't participated in any.
Job prospects
I am going to work for a couple of years in Uk. Luckily, University helps their students to find jobs. they are very helpful here.
If I am going to do an PhD, I will look for another univeristy, another experience.
