Postgraduate Archaeology reviews

Hardest working but best experience of my life

Professional Archaeology Msc

Oxford University

Arwen, October 2007

Overall score

The support given to students by Kellog college was of high quality. Students are "thrown" into the typical Oxford College social life of college events and dinners. Advisers and tutors are on hand for any help or problems. Can be "old fashioned" though. Be prepared to throw yourself into all activities and enjoy!

Study experience

Placement course 3 x 10 week placements in the work place. Good experience. Lecturers were fantastic and on hand to help all the time. Lectures only in the 1st week, were very informative. Come with an open mind and willing to work.

Facilities

Not enough computers, library was very well stocked. Bar small but perfectly formed! No sports facilities.

Postgraduate life

They had the history and rowing society, not aware of anything else. Free lectures were held often.

Job prospects

Studying Archaeology hsa made job prospects difficult, as not much work available.
