Postgraduate International Relations reviews

Fantastic Uni, Good Course

International Relations MSc

Royal Holloway, University Of London

Melissa, May 2010

Overall score

I have had a wonderful time at Royal Holloway - the only advice that I would give to any potential student is to find out about each lecturer from other students before opting to take their module - in order to avoid disappointment.

Study experience

The course is pretty much how I had expected - with the exception of one module. I really can't stress enough the fact that students should find out about a lecturer and their teaching style and history at the uni before they opt to take the module.

Facilities

The library is starting to sort itself out a bit. They are in the process of making books more accessible to a greater number of students which will make it far better than the current situation. There are plenty of computers - though it can be a bit frustrating at peak times.

Postgraduate life

The uni has plenty of societies on offer, from department based societies to sport and journalism. I am a member of the Politics and International relations society and would have signed up to more if i had still been an undergrad.

Job prospects

I am already completing a postgraduate degree so my plans are to get a job as soon as possible. My Masters degree will hopefully give me something extra to recommend me to future employers. The university's reputation will also aid my applications.
