This full time master's programme is designed for those with ambitious sport management dreams. Past graduates have gone on to roles within major sporting leagues, global sport's branding and international sporting events.

You will cover the disciplines of human resource management, marketing, finance and strategy. You will also learn how they apply to global sports organisations and events. Graduates of this course will have a distinctive skill set. You will have the ability to critically discuss the concepts and key functions of international sport management. You will also be able to analyse and evaluate strategy, organisational structures and design. In addition you will cover organisational behaviour and operations in international, European and UK-based sports companies.

You will also cover the management of resources including; the marketing of sport products, the strategic direction of sport organisations and the ethical environmental and legal issues underpinning international sport management.

Modules

In this module you will be provided with the opportunity to develop knowledge, competencies and skills in resource management and planning in an international context. The module will focus on human resource management and financial management (specifically accounting and financial analysis) applicable to international sport organisations. Both aspects will include the theoretical background to managing people and finance alongside practical application using international sport organisation examples.

Entry requirements

Applicants should normally have: A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, ideally in a sport-related subject, or an academic qualification in a non-sport discipline with a demonstrable interest in sport.
