This course emphasises and supports joint development opportunities to facilitate inter-agency working; it also provides an arena to network with like-minded professionals in the public service field who can inform practice through shared experiences; course content: the public services manager; managing people and teams; managing services.
Necessary qualifications:
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate: that they are a practising manager (new or experienced); are preparing for a managerial role (e.g. as a new team manager; practice manager; deputising for a manager; or covering a managerial role) and want to develop management practice further; alternatively applicants may be experienced managers who have been in post for 1-3 or more years but have no formal management training and qualifications but who have support from their line manager.
