The OU is the perfect way to get a top graduate education without the expense of a student life style. I held down a full-time office job for the 3 years it took to complete my MA.

I benefited from great teaching but I wasn't broke at the end of it!

Study experience

The MA have support and guidance but mostly provided the opportunity to learn to research by myself.

Facilities

The online library is second to none and provides access to databases, periodicals, journals and papers.

The courses, structure, content, requirements and approach vary from one tutor to another nad dep[artment to department. So it is important to find out as much as possible about these things before making a clear decision on whether to take a course.

Library is very good but there is not enough common areas and areas we have are not very big.

Postgraduate life

There are many but I do not have the time to join any. I would recomment them though as they can be a great way to meet people and can be good fun if you can fit them in. Don't join too many at once though.
