MSc in Applied Artificial Intelligence
University Of Exeter
Varun, June 2007Overall score
Study experience
Course content are wonderful and very technical. This is not the course for beginners in computer science. Only those good with programming and maths should get into this. This is one of its kind course available and I could not find similar course anywhere else. Previously it was called MSc Autonomous Systems. Each module has 2 weeks of lectures and 2 weeks for assignments. Also you have a Research project module at the end.
Facilities
Facilities were really good with an independent lab for MSc Students. Also the class size was small to get individual attent. Very good IT facilites. Common room with a basic kitchen and enough sitting place. Also department has it own good library with may journals.
Postgraduate life
Atmosphere was good and bad. We had some students in the batch for whom the course was too difficult and thus they were never happy. It would have been much better if only students with background in programming are admitted to ths course. This will make the class more competitive and fun. Apart from this rest was cool. University is very beautifully located with many on campus clubs. Students union is also very active. As the city is small, City center is 10 mins walk from the university.
