Design (Textile Design) MA
University College Falmouth
Julliet, March 2010Overall score
Thoroughly enjoyed my year on the MA Design at Falmouth. I think of the experience as therapy in a luxery hotel. I loved being questioned on my designs and pushed further to see how far they could go.
Study experience
I liked the set up of the course and found most the lectures relevant. I would have enjoyed more textile concentrate but a year goes by so fast and before you know it we were out.
Facilities
Top notch facilities. Wish I had had more time to play with all the toys.
Postgraduate life
With a family I did not get much of a chance to experience postgrad afterlife. It may have been there but I did not look for it. I did enjoy the family related entertainment in Falmouth. Hard to keep up with the many festivals.
Job prospects
Is there prospects for any jobs at this time? This degree has enabled me to teach in a field that I am passionate about but as far as working within the textile design field, not so easy.

Textile Design MA
University College Falmouth
Vicki-Sue, March 2010Overall score
JUST FANTASTIC, great staff, very supportive, fantastic friendly and positive atmostphere. Would definitely recommend.
Study experience
Great value for money.
Facilities
The facilities at UCF are second to none, with brand-new and state-of-the-art equipment and facilties.
Postgraduate life
I have made many friends and professional contacts whilst studying on the MA. The University is in a fantastic location, Penryn is very desirable already and becoming modern and chic whilst still keeping its Cornish traditions in place. Accomodation is easy to find but a little expensive.
Job prospects
I think in the current economic climate it is a difficult question to answer. I have a job where I can use my knowledge and skills but am leaving to find adventure in India, the MA certainly gave me the confidence to persue this dream.
