Postgraduate Financial Management and Accounting reviews
Accountancy and Finance MA (Hons)
Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
Jamie, January 2008Overall score
Uni is great. It's an experience that you will not get anywhere else and is not to be missed.
Study experience
My course is interesting and challenging. I've got 18 hours a week of classes but it's at a relaxed easy pace.
Facilities
Good sports facilities, lots of computers available, very rarely can you not find one, big library you'll find, if not what you need-something close.
Postgraduate life
There's lots of sports and other clubs but they can be hard to get into and feel part of.
Job prospects
I have more of an idea of what I want to do now than when I started.

Accountancy and Business Law MA (Hons)
Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
Nicola, January 2008Overall score
Pretty campus, swans providing a lot of banter, friendly, definately need more ATMs! Bit of a sausage fest - all good for girl prospective students.
Study experience
Majority of lecturers can't speak English or have a strong accent. 14 hours a week. Some better others send you to sleep.
Facilities
Library-needs more computers. Old man pub-amazing, union not so much. Sports pretty good, though gym could be bigger.
Postgraduate life
Yes, lots of clubs normal and strange! Cater for everyone. Im in Wquestrian - def the best :-) Meeting new people, social events.
Job prospects
Think the uni has good prospects but I have no idea what I want to do after so can't really help. Sorry :-<

Accountancy with German MA (Hons)
University Of Aberdeen
Ali, October 2008Overall score
Absolutely loving it!! Was able to experience life in another country too as part of the programme. I would recommend doing your research - I went to a few open days before deciding on Aberdeen
Study experience
The first couple of years were really flexible and that was great as I still wasn't 100% sure what I want to do. My lecturers have been fab and really supportive - so feel happy about graduating and entering the 'real' world!
Facilities
Library is fab and the librarians are really helpful - apparently there's a new library coming but not till after I graduate unfortunately! Getting a new sports centre too but am not exactly sporty!
Postgraduate life
I went a bit mental in Freshers week and signed up for hundreds of them! Now I'm a member of 2 - the German society and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Appreciation Society.
Job prospects
My accounts lecturers have told me we have one of the highest employment prospects so am pretty hopeful of getting a job. If not open to doing a PG - living more of the student life - oh yeah!!
