Overall score
I consider that 1-year MSc at Glasgow uni as the most important step of my career development. It is a top level university that gives A-class opportunities to students who work hard. Be prepared, the workload is very heavy.
Study experience
Very very good. Even the ones who do not have the necessary "charisma" to keep you excited about the lecture, they are very friendly, approachable and helpful. The most important part is that they appreciate hard working students and they provide excellent advice or additional opportunities for career development.
Facilities
Great library, although I could not find many books of my area of study. Contrary to the popular belief, the computers are more than enough for the students who intend to use them for academic purposes. The only reason I could not find an empty seat is that the 60% of the students "using" the computers were Facebook-ing.
Postgraduate life
Apart from the postgraduate club, I did not join any other societies. The "Hetherigton Research Club" was great, with nice atmosphere and a great pub. Alas, the food quality was deteriorating at the end of the academic year.
Job prospects
The university opened me all kinds of doors -both academic and professional. After my MSc at Glasgow I got a Microsoft sponsored PhD position at Oxford. It couldn't have been better, and it's all thanks to the magnificent opportunities offered by the Glasgow uni and its academics.
