Postgraduate Languages reviews
Overall score
Get involved in as many student clubs and societies as you can.
Study experience
The Scottish system means that only your last two years count towards your degree, so you can change your mind. Almost everyone I know changed their course after the first year to do something more specific.
Facilities
The library is good, but doesn't always have enough copies of books. There are lots of computers available, though, with computer rooms in all departments.
Postgraduate life
There are hundreds! And lots of support if you want to start another.
Job prospects
I gained great skills both from my course and from my work with clubs and societies .

Classical Studies-English MA (Hons)
University Of St Andrews
Caitlin, November 2008Overall score
St. Ambrose University (Davenport, Iowa, USA) has a great location-right between small town and huge city
Study experience
Take classes that you enjoy. There is nothing worse than getting a degree, taking classes that make you miserable.
Facilities
Amazing library, helpful staff. Lots of sports, activities, etc.
Postgraduate life
There is something for everybody.
Job prospects
My degree will allow me to do whatever I want and St. Ambrose helps you get settled.

Accountancy with German MA (Hons)
University Of Aberdeen
Ali, October 2008Overall score
Absolutely loving it!! Was able to experience life in another country too as part of the programme. I would recommend doing your research - I went to a few open days before deciding on Aberdeen
Study experience
The first couple of years were really flexible and that was great as I still wasn't 100% sure what I want to do. My lecturers have been fab and really supportive - so feel happy about graduating and entering the 'real' world!
Facilities
Library is fab and the librarians are really helpful - apparently there's a new library coming but not till after I graduate unfortunately! Getting a new sports centre too but am not exactly sporty!
Postgraduate life
I went a bit mental in Freshers week and signed up for hundreds of them! Now I'm a member of 2 - the German society and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Appreciation Society.
Job prospects
My accounts lecturers have told me we have one of the highest employment prospects so am pretty hopeful of getting a job. If not open to doing a PG - living more of the student life - oh yeah!!
