Marketing MSc
London School Of Business And Finance
Priyanka, February 2010Overall score
I would never reccomend anyone to join this college as its all talk and no show. I applied for MSc course in marketing with specialisation in emarketing last October 2009 and the coure was supposed to begin 11th Jan. I duly paid my fees and waited to hear from college on the time table, faculty, modules until the end. Later on I was told that the commencement date is postponed and had no information on it. Eventually was being told that due to in sufficient numbers in this session the course is deferred and suggested me to take up online study mode or have your fees refunded. I opted for the full refund and its been over 1 month there is no accountability or as a matter of fact no one is responsible to do the refund. I paid full sum of £6750 and paying an interest on it. I really don't know if I will even get any clear response or just being shunned everytime i call them.....DON'T APPLY IN THIS INSTITUTE and use your money elsewhere.
Study experience
Never even started.
Facilities
Looks swanky but has literally nothing to offer.
Postgraduate life
Only one programme co-ordinator and his name is Pratik Peshvaria. Tried to help me at several stages but it seems just wanted to delay the process. I did ask him to put me in touch with alumni of this course and I was being told it's not possible.

Marketing And Strategy Msc
University Of Warwick
Alexander, March 2007Overall score
The university has good facilities and all the amenities that you'll actually need on campus. Like all university campuses it can get quite claustrophobic. However, just 45 minutes away from Birmingham and with a direct train into London there are always ways of getting around that problem.
However, you will not gain any credit for going to a very good university. If you are looking for a wow factor try the LSE or Oxbridge but realise that some of their courses might not be as good.
Study experience
If you are looking for an alternative to an MBA with a specialisation in either Marketing or Strategy then my course is a good one to take. Unfortunately the wider world will not recognise that this is the most intense Masters you can take at Warwick (more intense than the MBA programme) and will not give you the necessary credit.

Job prospects
Often overlooked, Warwick is not the first port of call for many employers. Despite often saying they recruit from Warwick many of them pick graduates in the latter stages that are from the London colleges or Oxbridge.

Management with Marketing MA (Hons)
Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh
Lyndsay, January 2008Overall score
I generally enjoy student life. My course and social life are brilliant. However this is only after a change of course. Only study something you GENUINELY are interested in!
Study experience
My course is interesting and covers many aspects of business whoch does sadly include things like Statistics! I do 14 hours of classes a week with four different lecturers who are always willing to help. Advice to students: Go to classes, and don't revise at the last minute!
Facilities
Heriot-Watt has great sports facilities. They are so good, the Scotland rugby team use them occasionally. Library is good, a good place to study.
Postgraduate life
Heriot-Watt has clubs and societies for everything. As part of the Equestrian Club I have met a lot of people I wouls not have otherwise.
Job prospects
My course allows a wide variety of job opportunities. Which of them I want to take up, I don't know!
