Postgraduate Medical Specialisations: P-Z reviews

Just getting through it.

Sports and Exercise Medicine PgDip

University Of Bath

Harriet, February 2008

Overall score

Beautiful city and modern campus, would recommend to others. Not enough nightlife in student union. Best advice: Bath is small and doesn't have clubs like Newcastle so don't expect it. Enjoy it for what it is and you'll still have wicked time.

Study experience

N/A - don't have lectures

Facilities

Very good facilities, open 24 hours which is the BEST thing about it. Has lots of windows, so good natural light.

Postgraduate life

Has loads. I am not a member of any now, but was as an undergrad. Good way to meet people you don't live with, etc.

Job prospects

Has a great reputation and brilliant contacts around world for career opportunities.

PhD's are very hard!

Infection And Immunology Phd

University Of Nottingham

Jim, June 2007

Overall score

PhD's are very hard if you are not organised but very rewarding. Nottingham is a great place to be a student, but make sure you have the studying/social life balance right!

Study experience

Review the notes you make during lectures when you get home. It can be a boring thing to do but a good set of notes is invaluable.

Facilities

Lots of bars, plenty of computers, excellent library.

Postgraduate life

Societies relating to your course can be beneficial its best to join less and participate more.
