The sports facilities are amazing, we have full Gym and alot of playing grounds for football, tennis and basketball and more..

A European Student Experience

Health and Safety Risk Management MSc

Nottingham Trent University

Patriece, May 2010

Overall score

I am enjoying my time studying in the UK. Nottingham is a great place to study with many activities and resources availble to aid students. I would recommend it to others. The advice I would give is to fully investigate the course that you are thinking about doing to ensure it meets your criteria, to research rental accomodation to get the best value.

Study experience

I feel that this course is geared to people who are currently working in this feild with at least 5 years working experience. I do not feel that it is course worth doing straight after undergrad. I thought the course was based on Health and Safety on a more practile level but it is more policy based at a much higher level, management level.

Facilities

I don't like the library and feel this is a let down to the university. The library building in the city centre is a modern building but not put to good use, the way it is designed is nice but not practical, hard to get a quite area and the book locations are difficult to get used to. I also feel there is not enough computers which is annoying as students need these at the same peak times, run up to exams and course work submitions. Staff are friendly but some are not overly helpful. The students union in the city is also dissapointing; a sports hall turnd into niteclub at weekends but does supply cheap drink which is always a bonus. The gym in the city is small with no swimming pool which I feel is a draw back. But does offer lost of classes.

Postgraduate life

They offer a wide range of clubs and societies but I did not join any.

Job prospects

I am currently applying for jobs and feel that this course will give me an advantage over other applicants.
