General Management MBA
University Of Liverpool
Details Not Given, July 2009Overall score
A very greedy school, whose MBA programme is poorly developed and ran. It became obvious very soon that the official Uni of Liverpool MBA advertisement is overly exaggerated. It does NOT teach people with work experience - the majority have barely left undergraduate degrees.
The Uni advertises student diversity and maturity. The fact is that the class was over 80% comprised of students from India. Furthermore, many students were 20 years old, attending MBA. The school was obviously desperate to fill the seats at the expense of quality of education. Furthermore, many assignments are often required to be written in groups - again, language (written) abilities of some of the students were questionable.
If you are happy with receiving a degree without learning much, this is your school.
Study experience
The faculty is OK for the most part. However, some fellow students made it a habit to talk loudly between themselves during lessons as well as to talk on the mobiles. Lecturers in general did not do anything about this.
Facilities
OK, but overcrowded at times.
Postgraduate life
Job prospects
If you are international student, you can forget getting any job aferwards. As far as part time jobs go while studying, they are very scarce and poorly paid.
