Module Leader Dr Victoria Hewitt offers an insight into the MSc in Palliative Care. Palliative care is an important part of health care for those suffering from life-limiting illnesses and their families. In May 2012, WHO passed a resolution to incorporate palliative care into regular health care. This programme has been designed to cover all aspects of palliative care, ranging from pain, emotional and psychological care to medical, spiritual, social, and economic care. Optional modules like health economics, health technologies and medical ethics are also covered.
