Dr Ian Jones speaks to us about the postgraduate sports programmes offered by the School of Tourism at Bournemouth University, some of which are a combination of theory and management practices. The School works with international partners and currently has partnerships with universities in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Holland, and Germany. He informs us that an applicant for the sports programmes doesn’t necessarily need to be an athlete but may be someone who is a sports fan, follower, participant, volunteer, or even a coach. He adds that students, on graduation from these programmes, find jobs in the Government sector, the private sector, or even within general management.
