Dr Charles Kelly, Deputy Degree Programme Director, offers an insight into the various modules in Oncology offered on the MSc in Oncology and Palliative Care. There are primarily two categories: one which explores the generic aspects of oncology– such as surgical oncology, radiotherapy, and complementary medicine, and the specialised module that focus on different types of cancer. The modules provide health care professionals with an insight into the best practices in cancer care. A number of students have completed these modules and gone on to work in clinical leadership roles.
