Dr Sian Adiseshiah, Reader at the School of English and Journalism, gives an insight into the various postgraduate study options in English; MAs in English Studies, 21st Century Literature, Creative Writing, and 19th Century Studies are offered. The School has a strong focus on literature in the 19th century and contemporary writing. There are two symposia a year and MA students get to present their work and receive valuable feedback. Teaching, publishing, journalism and media are popular career options. Prospective students should have a passion for English.
