Jane Houston, Course Director for the Legal Practice Course (LPC) explains that 89% of graduates are in legal work within three months. Those who don’t go straight into a training contract will do paralegal work at a firm, which is something she describes as a good way to get a ‘foot in the door’ as it can help to impress future employers in the workplace. In terms of applicants, she is interested in those who have strong academic background and a passion for the law, which they are showing through pro-bono work or volunteering for the Citizens Advice Bureau.
