Well, generally career prospects for our students are very good. Kent was ranked first in the U.K. for mathematics graduating students' employment prospects in the 2012 Complete University Guide.
Recent data shows that 90 percent of our graduates found employment or went into further study within 6 months. Over 50 percent of our Actuarial Science graduates either went into the actuarial profession or other finance areas; accountancy, banking insurance, investment, or risk management. Other career destinations include computing and teaching. Approximately 20 percent of math and statistics graduates also enter careers in finance. For them other career destinations include teaching and computing.
Well, obviously our programs require students to be good at math. Our programs are quantitative and are designed to make our graduates employable. A key objective of our school.
