Professor Kerry Howell, Professor of Governance and Leadership at the Plymouth Graduate School of Management, introduces students to the PGCE Research Methodologies Programme. The certificate programme has three modules: an introduction to doctoral research, paradigms of enquiry and theory, and research criticism and structure. The certificate programme will be very useful for students when they work on their PhDs or write a monograph. Applicants should be ready to read a lot and strive hard. To summarise, the programme is, ‘99% perspiration and 1% inspiration.’
