An Introduction to the Department of Italian

Last Updated:

28th October 2014

Dr Abigail Brundin, Reader in Italian Language, Literature and Culture, introduces students to the Department of Italian. The Department is part of a larger faculty of Modern Languages and has seven faculty-members. There is scope for inter-disciplinary study across other European languages like Portuguese, Dutch and German. Postgraduate students join the one-year masters programme in European Literature and Culture, and a number go on to join doctoral research programmes after graduating, or find work as language teachers or in roles in journalism, translation and publishing.
