Dr. Carolyn Hunter, Deputy Director Postgraduate Research at York, speaks about The York Management School’s MRes & PhD programmes. Students learn about quantitative & qualitative methods (research methodologies overlooking different methods to be used in a business context), and they also develop skills and expertise within the related areas of their programmes. Five key areas of research are human resource management, organisational behaviour theory and technology, operations management, international business, and accounting in finance. Graduates of the School can go into academic careers, consultancy roles, the health care sector, or banking.
