Professor Kevin Parrott, Head of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, introduces students to the various postgraduate programmes taught at the Department. Courses focus on the application of mathematics in areas such as finance, statistics and operational research. The key is to offer students skills and training, which will help them in the real world; these include IT skills, MatLab, and mathematical and computational analytics. Applicants should have a relevant undergraduate degree and the motivation to study and succeed.
