Dr. Rogers gives a brief overview of the department, its strengths and opportunities for students. He explains that the Archaeology Department at Durham University, is one of the largest in the world and operates out of a new state-of-the-art £3.2 million facility. He describes staff-members as very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, with expertise in areas as diverse as Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian Archaeology. The Oriental Museum and the Fulling Mill Museum are important assets. Any student with a passion for archaeology can apply to study at Durham. Postgraduate students usually embark on a PhD or work in museums and some students choose to opt for other career-roles in project and business management.
