Dr Anna Pakes, senior lecturer at the University of Roehampton, gives students an overview of the Department of Dance. It is one of the largest dance departments in the country and offers a range of different taught postgraduate programmes. As per the RAE 2008, it was rated to be the best in the UK for dance. The Department offers courses in Dance Studies, Ballet Studies, South Asian Dance Studies, Choreography and Performance. On graduation, students can work in dance administration, management, become independent choreographers or performers, or pursue higher education.
