Dr. Rattray, Divisional Director of Postgraduate Taught Programmes, talks about Durham University’s School of Education. At the postgraduate level, she informs us that the School offers everything from teacher training through to masters and doctorate programmes. The School, she lets us know, is not just looking for students interested in teaching but those with a genuine interest in how people learn. After graduation, students go into a variety of roles: mainly teaching, educational management, publishing, educational policy making and various other options. She believes this field would suit somebody creative and who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary environment.
