Edmond and Mable on Aston’s Postgraduate Mentoring Scheme

Last Updated:

06th November 2014

Edmond is a postgraduate mentor who guides Mable, a PhD student of Neurosciences. Aston’s Postgraduate Mentoring Scheme supports the integration of first year postgraduate students into the programme. The mentor helps students with qualities like time management, soft skills, and networking with other students. Once a mentee is integrated into the system the best thing they can do is become a mentor for the next batch of students and help them with their doctoral studies. Mentorship is a very important role and it brings out the leadership qualities in students.
