Professor Leigh Sparks, Head of Stirling Graduate School, explains the virtual school was set up to be a voice for post-graduates; to improve the experience students have with other departments. This has been done through developing new courses and embedding employability, for example. Approx 25% of the University’s population are post-graduates, with a large international cohort. With internal funding and external support, the Stirling Graduate School aims to provide the possible support and improve its facilities to help post-graduates carry out their research.
