Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at Anglia Ruskin University

As a PhD student it would be easy to feel isolated and overwhelmed, but ARU really makes an effort to include its PhD students in its community. From the start there are welcome meetings, regular network events, wellbeing peer support, training events, and regular social events for post graduate researchers plus a fabulous post graduate only socialising and study area - brand spanking new and fully equipped. There is a comprehensive post graduate training programme and my experience of supervision has been great - super responsive supervisors who are keen to work with you. The only negative experience is that you could easily spend your entire three years doing training webinars, there's so many to choose from! read full review
Best thing be the teaching and lectures and talking about things that can make better will be more specific about giving reply’s and getting information through online read full review

MSc Marketing

ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY

Fatemeh - January 2024

There is a good space and support for students but some times the classes will cancel and they don't replace them read full review
Cambridge is located in a wildlife conservation hub with multiple organisations on our doorstep. This provide multiple volunteer and job opportunities for those on the same course as me, and other animal biology/behviour courses.

It would be nice if the university had more greenspace - limited given the size of the university - but it would be nice if there were benches on the green spaces and more trees planted.

The facilities at the university are phenomenal. I came here for my undergraduate degree (finished in 2016) and the university certainly feels the students are in thier best interest now. The science building is well equipt with modern facilities.

The vegan £1 lunches are used by so many of us and is appreciated when the cost of living is having such a negative impact on students currently. read full review

ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY

Sudip(Tom) Thomas - January 2024

The best experiences are that it is a small homely university that has a lot to offer and is in the heart of the Cambridge City Centre. read full review

MA Dramatherapy

ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY

Philippa - January 2024

The creative therapy facilities are fantastic. They have a building specifically for music therapy and dramatherapy, equipped with suitable materials, props and instruments. It is used for the sole purpose of these therapies and feels warm and welcoming.

The whole university is well situated in the heart of Cambridge with lots to do and see in the surrounding areas. The SU has lots of extra curricular societies to join too so you'll never run out of options!

Oh and the new eatery is amazing. So many food choices from around the world at competitive prices. Would highly recommend! read full review
Faculties were so supportive and nice. Class timetable were more soothing and appropriate for me. read full review
ARU has such a vibrant community and embraces diversity well. I'd say the student union office could be more inclusive and not refined to a particular culture. Then again, it's left to other students to go up for these positions. read full review
Good infrastructure, peaceful mindset to study and do the project.

Some of the staffs are more rude, they are not willing to listen your opinion, if that changes it would be better. read full review
Huge amount of support with carerers from the Life Sciences department if you put the effort in, and a really interesting course with academics well-versed in their area of research. The library is quite dated in some respects but is still a very useful resource. Plenty of food options in and around the uni as it's in central Cambridge. read full review
