Arden University does not have its own students’ union (SU), but it does automatically enrol all students into the university’s student association. This helps undergraduate and postgraduate students to connect with others from around the world, sharing tips and making new friends virtually. There is also the option of joining Unibuddy or using the university’s Facebook groups to meet others.
While there is no SU to represent students, there are student representatives available for any concerns that a student doesn’t feel comfortable taking straight to the staff.
Clubs and societies
Arden University doesn’t operate any regular clubs or societies, but it does offer a number of social events throughout the year that students are able to attend. These events are promoted through the university’s social media channels and students are encouraged to follow them to stay on top of the latest news and dates.
For students attending a study centre, breakout rooms offer students the chance to collaborate on projects and share ideas and inspiration in a relaxed, informal setting.
Arden University is primarily a distance learning institution for postgraduate students, with students accessing course materials and tutor lessons online from home. However, there are blended learning options which include time at one of the university’s study centres, which are based in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and London as well as one in Berlin. Each study centre is centrally located with easy access to public transport, along with places to eat or relax during study downtime.
