Arts University Bournemouth

I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I could not recommend this course, this university or this course team more highly. Even though I am still some way from completion, my skills and my knowledge have developed immeasurably .

1. Studios and photo editing facilities are excellent.
2. Technical staff are helpful, supportive and d their best to make themselves available.
3. Equipment is of high quality and well maintained by the staff.
4. Cleanliness regimes have been made as simple and straightforward as possible and this boosts confidence.

I am a mature student and I am from a technical rather than an arts background; therefore there are two main factors which I found of immense value and which encapsulate my view of the support - which by the way was, and is, excellent. The course leader was approachable and accessible and provided good advice which informed my choice and my application. Secondly, perhaps even more importantly, the course leader and his team have taken every possible care to maintain the best possible learning environment throughout the current restrictions, which for a practical course, have been challenging. Timetables have been flexible, technical resources assured and learning practise constantly focussed in favour of us as students.

The university provides regular weekly updates and guidance on career opportunities. Additional resources are are available too, to those that wish to access them. Our Course Leader has facilitated sessions with external mentors and made this available to al course participants. It has worked really well.

The course leader and his team have gone above and beyond the 'call of duty' to make themselves available to students. Other university staff, although less obviously visible have, nonetheless, maintained a reliable and reassuring outreach programme and have communicated regularly and clearly.
