The general univeristy has community and down to earth feeling, having a nice mix that makes you more adjusted to a working environment after finishing. Fruthermore, its modern design that look aesthetically pleasing and is very accepting of all people from diffrent backgrounds.
The facilities are at industry standard and give a wide range of hoaming into your own practice. Also, the teaching experience along with the technicians is amazing, they really care for each student and help to learn us skills/lessons that useful, but generally interesting too.
The student union is neither good or bad, rather it somewhat forgotten. Unlike other universites where it is big factor, AUBSU isn't really where most student would go for help. But they can host good events we can be fun and engaging with the students.
The student services are most of the time good, supporting students with a multitude problems and not judgemental. However, funding for students that need financial services could be slightly better and less limited.
Student life in Bournemouth is very fun, having a lot of places for nightlife, shopping, eating and general places to visit in the surrounding areas. The town can be very lively, but not too much that It can be overwhelming like most metropolitan cities. Also, the university not too far away from the Bournemouth or Poole, being in the middle and having good transport.
Overall, AUB is amazing institution that gives students a good experience both in education and life. Would recommend anyone that is thinking of studying at undergrad or postgrad.

The screenwriting tutor was an experimental art/essay filmmaker and without a professional background in drama. These days the course is ran by experimental art tutors rather than filmmakers with industry backgrounds. There is disorganisation with regard to production crewing, budget allocation and too many aspiring directors, and no aspiring producers. Too many productions greenlit without resources to fulfil the quota. Would benefit from more practical, hands on cinematography workshops. The course was shortened to one year which is not long enough to study each aspect of film as it endeavours. To write, develop, produce, shoot and carry out post. Whilst doing advanced academic papers alongside without much practical relevance. The standard of shorts could be improved.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I could not recommend this course, this university or this course team more highly. Even though I am still some way from completion, my skills and my knowledge have developed immeasurably .

Die to pandemic it’s been hard but the university is trying their best to support my needs as much as they can. Workshops are always open, tutors give us many ideas of what can be done. The motto for university should be “YOU DO YOU!” Because every way is a good way as far as you present all the steps. There’s never a wrong answer. Hence I’ve decided to come back after my BA Architecture.
