BANGOR UNIVERSITY
Overall Rating

I only started in January but so far it's really good and is giving me skills for my career in the field- such as writing media releases, using archives, looking at sources.

There are also loads of research seminars to attend that keep you up to date with current literature

Student Union

The SU represents the student body effectively and are happy to help

Clubs and Societies

There is a massive range of societies and clubs and they are very welcoming

Uni Facilities

Facilities are good and there is a specific study room with a full kitchen for Postgraduate students in the Sociology, History and Social Science department

Course and Lecturers

Most- Really interesting and informative lectures

City Life

The University is really well positioned and close to all halls and local amenities. You never really have to travel for more that 30 minutes to any halls within Bangor and 45minutes for Menai Bridge

Job Prospects

Employability skills are good and are intertwined within the Masters course. I found this better done that in the BA Childhood Studies course I did at this Uni (graduated in 2018)

Student Support

Support is generally good but I, personally have never been contacted by my personal tutor
