Being an international student here my experience has been phenomenal. Univeristy has become a home to me with unbelievable amount of love and respect and uncountable beautiful memories. I have made lifelong friends here and it has been like a dream i am living. It has helped me grow in to a much stronger, confident and positive person.

Student Union

Student Union is very active in voicing students' opinions and ideas forward to the administration making sure that every student in bangor university feels welcomed and heard. Not only this SU makes sure to support societies and clubs by actively encouraging them for events and being there with their full support. It also engages students by organising events to promote sustainability, awareness on mental health and other social issues.

Clubs and Societies

University has the best societies and sports club with a big variety suiting everyone's requirements. From introverts to extroverts to ambiverts everyone have a chance to find something of their interest, and there are a gazilion to choose from. University offers cultural, speaking, indoor games, political, public issues, schools specific socities to dramatics, music and every genre of arts societies. Other than that it has sports clubs covering every single sport out there plus the volunteering projects helping out community.

Uni Facilities

The university has state of art and mordern facilities, with pontio a mordern innovation centre having theatre, cinema, cafe and common area for students alongwith halls and lecture theatres. The teaching facilities are on point using mordern technologies and providing best facilities to the students. For every facility provided by university the students have easy access and can use them at any time of the day. It has two big librafies which are open till midnight with quite rooms, group study areas, common places and many more.

Course and Lecturers

The thing i love the most about my course is access to facilities which hard to access normally and its practical aspect. The focus on giving real life experience rather than just theoretical basis is the key point for me of studying here at bangor university. And of course the support i get from my lecturers for everything.

City Life

The univeristy is situated right in the centre of the city with excess to every store, high street for shopping and cafes, garth pier and roman camp and menais bridge at just 10-15 minutes radius

Job Prospects

Bangor university has a complete department associated with employability. Skills and employability organises workshops every week so that maximum students can benefit from them. These workshops encompass topics liks CV building, writing cover letters, preparing for interviews and others. Also, it provides students opportunities to have one-to-one meeting with the professionals. University also regularly organises employability fairs for every school to have a chance to meet companies, takes students to employability fairs in machester and m-sparc and regular notifications on available jobs through target connect. Univeristy also has BEA points system for counting all the hours students have spent doing volunteering or working in the socities and award them with employability points with their awards being held at the end of the year for best performances.

Student Support

The university is very focused on providing students with every possible support and making them feel relaxed and welcomed especially when it comes to mental health.
Every student has a personal tutor in their academic school which is like your own go to lecturer for every academic and non-academic problems. You have peer guides which are senior students to help you out in your academic work. Univeristy has mental health advisors and counselling office to assist students for any emotional problem they are facing. Every school also has their own counsellors to assist students and guide them. Their are course reps which are student representatives which help to take up their issues directly to the staff. And then academic coordinators and teachers for providing feedback over your attendance and results with doing their best to make sure you get good grades and stay on the track.
