Marine Environmental Protection MSc

BANGOR UNIVERSITY
Overall Rating

The Marine Centre Wales and the Prince Madog are very well equipped and the field work, ship-based activities and laboratory practicals provide great vocational experience. Most of the lecturers are very accommodating when you need help and incredibly knowledgeable in their subject areas. The employment opportunities offered by the university, such as demonstrating for undergraduate classes and working on open days, has been really useful to boost my CV and help cope with the cost of living crisis.

This year has been the biggest cohort Bangor has had for School of Ocean Sciences masters programmes and there have been a few teething problems, especially at the start of the year, where we were timetabled to be in rooms that were too small for the capacity. The structure has also been changed this year from modules running one at a time to having 3 modules running side by side each semester which has led to some deadline clashes.
