BANGOR UNIVERSITY
Overall Rating

Has a good small-town community feel, everyone knows everyone. Lack of creative subjects means generally more nerdy atmosphere. My particular course felt outdated and played a very small role in gaining employment. If you like big-city normal attractions avoid (no cinema, no interesting nightlife, no gigs). Make your own fun kinda place. Also note University term is from Sept-June i.e. it is raining. Beautiful place in Summer and June/July when your exams finish it's a great place to live, the rest of the time, not so much. It's also cheap, quid/quid 50 pints are not out of the ordinary, something you wouldn't find in big cities.I would recommend for an introverted, outdoors-y, kinda person. Halls are quite nice also.

Student Union

Decent but lacking atmosphere, partially down to the students.

Clubs and Societies

Good small community feel.

Accommodation

Uni Facilities

Course and Lecturers

Well taught but lack of real-world applicable skills.

City Life

3 Clubs.

Job Prospects

Out of date subjects and lack of real world skills taught across subjects. Could do with a modernisation, subjects addressing real job descriptions etc.

Student Support

Good.
