Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at Bangor University

History MA/PgDip

Nina Blaser - February 2018

I enjoy living in a beautiful town, with a great sense of community. The people (tutors, students, administration, locals) are all very helpful and nice. The Clubs and Societies are great and I truly enjoy it so far. read full review

Alice - February 2018

It has been good. More things need to be done to support students outside of the academic day though that doesn't involve drinking. The area itself could do with better transport around places as well. read full review
My experience has been fantastic, and I have loved every part of it. I feel like the fees that get paid to the university don't just go towards the content you get taught, but towards the experience you get out of the time spent at university too. Bangor has great teaching, support, opportunities and community. I feel like my university experience has made me develop and grow in many ways and I encourage everyone to get involved in as many ways as possible to get the most out of their experience too. read full review
I enjoy my time at university. The university life has enhanced my knowledge. Professors feedback and university facility are stupendous. If you think of psychology then think bangor. read full review
I have been a part of Bangor university for nearly 4 years and I have had an amazing time in all aspects of the university. Looking back over the last three years, I am glad I choose Bangor over any other university. read full review
It’s great, in my fourth year here and I will miss it when I am gone. Academically the university is outstanding and has really helped me improve and provides lots of scholarships to help finance your studies across all levels. Only let down is sport: I have thoroughly enjoyed it and am an active member of a few clubs. However, the university needs to provide more funding and suitable training facilities. read full review

Christina H - December 2017

So supportive and kind. Interesting opportunities. I feel like an individual, which is really different from a huge university experience. The city is an acquired taste! But I love the beautiful countryside which is so near. read full review
So far, it has been an unforgettable year. I came to Bangor as an Arab, Hijabi Muslim and I came out as a multicultural accepting Arab, hijabi muslim woman. You get to know who you are after facing so many challanges and meeting so many people. Professors are very helpful when it comes to explaining lectures. Students are also open minded. read full review

Brooke Martin - December 2017

Good, although I feel like I am not quite getting enough 'learning' for the amount of money I paid. (My professors are behind on returning/assigning work and one hasn't taught any material in his class.) read full review

Bilingualism PhD

Athy - November 2017

I have had a fantastic time. It has been a great experience. From the societies, to the facilities, teaching and general opportunities. The city is small and easy to get around with very kind people and always students around. read full review
