MA Learning and Teaching in the Creative Industries

Overall Rating

Could be better. Tutors could be better at communicating and making things clear for us while also making sure they understand what is acceptable and what isn’t acceptable in each module

Uni Facilities

The facilities are reasonably good plenty of books and space to study when needed

Course and Lecturers

Most- I like the flexibility and openness of the course there is no prejudice on your background in teaching as everyone works together in the same environment.
Least - clarity is lacking, as it is a new course there is a lot of freedom to do what you would like to learn however there are no defined boundaries or direction. I have struggled to know if I am going in the right direction and when I ask for help I am met with questions to think about instead of answers to my own questions. This confuses me when I am being told after an assessment I didn’t understand the criteria as the criteria was not properly explained in the first place.

City Life

The buildings are far between each other, it’s nice to have a separate space from the undergraduates however is slightly frustrating when not sure where your class is as you have to travel across town to get to each building

Job Prospects

There is a careers hub but is mostly for undergraduate students

Student Support

Tutor support could be better, counselling is brilliant
