Birkbeck provides evening courses for postgraduate students, with most sessions running between 6pm and 9pm. It’s a favourite with people who want to study part-time to boost their career, but a third of postgraduate students take up courses on a full-time basis. It’s also a world-famous research centre - again, with programmes based around evening study. In fact they’re London’s only evening provider of higher education.
There are over 170 postgraduate courses to choose from, and 30% of their 10,000 students are in postgraduate study.
“I would definitely recommend Birkbeck University, especially for their part-time studies. If you are interested in research, then I was really impressed with research methods as well as most of the other subjects given. I had a very good experience here.”
“Very knowledgeable, approachable and enthusiastic lecturers/tutors. Always willing to give you time for your ideas and concerns. The whole focus is on you as a developing student and helping you to progress in your studies”
