Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at Bournemouth University

Decent facilities but campus is a little sparse and not much to do in the town read full review
Bournemouth University provides top notch study experience for their students, I have been so grateful to choose this school because I receive excellent support and flexibility to study matters. read full review
Bournemouth Univerisity happens to be in what I consider to be the best area in England. Bournemouth is a seaside resort city and has a lot to offer all year round and especially during the summertime where you could enjoy the beach life and a lot of nature around the Dorset region. Bournemouth Univerisity's campus is very modern and offers a good student life with lots of student accommodations around and alot of events happens all year round. There is a range of facilities that the student can choose from and the student union has a lot of societies that you could join and participate in its events. I like that Bournemouth is not a crowded city yet there is still alot to do, and it offers a great setup for studying and focusing on work, and it is just 2 hours away from London by train, so whenever you get bored and want something different, London is not far away. My only comment to improve BU is to make it a hub for more social and cultural events that would attract people not just from the area but from all parts of England. Get involved in organising international conferences, film festivals, cultural and social events, and more which would open more opportunities to students to network and socialise on a broader scale. read full review
BU has a lot of resources available but accessing them is very difficult at times. They are encouraging via social media and email but when you need them the most they never have enough staff to pick up calls and answer emails. Campus facilities are nice and have all you need, also teachers are nice read full review
I love the diversity of the University, since I started I have never felt like I was far from home .

I love the access to various study materials, the university has a huge database of learning materials ranging from journals, cases, textbooks.

Joining BU has made me love research and its been a worthwhile experience so far. read full review
I love the location and the people, but student support needs improvement with the psych department listening to students and their feedback read full review
It is a great combination of study and social life. Located in the southern part of England, Bournemouth University has a great location, with welcoming people. Coming from totally different countries and feeling welcomed, I think the best experience any student could have because it is the 'first gate' to have an effective study experience.

The worst experience would be when I arrived at the lockdown period, which made it more difficult. read full review
Perfect location and staff! Supportive environment. Special events for international students might improve experience at Uni! read full review
Lansdowne library is my favourite place. It’s modern building and near the train station and supermarkets. Also, open 24 hours with all facilities such as computers, printers and study rooms. Tutors are supportive and have great industry experience. I like the diversity so there are many international students doing different courses. Most interesting is events, conferences and industry visits in my field of study and the university always run activities. They also have a gym inside the main campus. The only negativity is that my course which started in September is short so I don’t enjoy holidays like students from January cohort. Other than that, everything here is awesome. read full review
The number of lectures or classes that a student has to take during the semester is far too little and because of that the courses are usually crammed into as few lectures as possible.
Being an international student doing an online course, i also lost the aspect of classmate interaction so chat rooms or events dedicated to that would be nice too. read full review
