BPP UNIVERSITY
Overall Rating

Please do not waste your time or money going here. There are so so many other courses to choose from that are infinitely better.

Also, if you're thinking of going here in order to get a visa DON'T! You won't be able to get your graduate visa if you need to resit any modules at all. There are loads of people on the course who have had to go home from the UK and have had no support from BPP.

Uni Facilities

BPP uses Inspera for online exams, students have been removed from these exams multiple times. This leaves students needing to resit exams at a later date through no fault of their own. Even when students are kicked out of the virtual exam room there is no support, BPP doesn't answer the phone for at least an hour, by which time the exam is finished.

The libraries are now partially reopen. The computers are slow and you still can't borrow laptops.

BPP looked at the pandemic as another opportunity to make money. They closed both libraries for a considerable period of time and wouldn't let you borrow any laptops from the libraries. This left students with 0 facilities.

The library has a small section of psych textbooks. Very little online resources because BPP hasn't paid for access to most books. I've been using my undergrad login from a different uni for access to resources.

Course and Lecturers

Course is all taught online. The student to staff ratio is far higher than the BPS guidelines state in numerous documents relating to accreditation so seminars end up being around 60 people.

No support from tutors they take weeks to reply to you.

Despite students previously raising the issue of out-of-sync term times, BPP continues to deliver their examination days after periods such as Christmas.

After assessments you receive group feedback (the groups are 60 people). You only receive individual feedback if requested by a certain date which takes 8 weeks, by which time you've completed the next set of essays.

Job Prospects

Student Support

No availability to wellbeing services. I can genuinely say my mental health has been negatively affected by studying at BPP.

International students haven't been able to get their graduate visas because BPP takes so long to mark work and provide results.
