Course Summary

Course Overview

Actively promoted by The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapy recommended to treat a range of mental health problems. The techniques can be applied in general medical, nursing and psychological practice.

If you have already completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, this programme will allow you to top-up your existing qualification to a full MSc. There is strong competition for employment in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and having the higher qualification of MSc will help enhance your career prospects. It could also open up promotional opportunities within the field of psychological therapies.

Led by an experienced and dedicated course team, this programme builds on our strong reputation in this field. To achieve the MSc, you will need to complete the Dissertation module, allowing you to investigate a topic important to you. You will cover the whole research process, from ethics approval to writing your final report, with the guidance of an allocated supervisor who will support you throughout the whole process.
