ROYAL CENTRAL SCHOOL OF SPEECH AND DRAMA, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
Overall Rating

I absolutely love training at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. There is no place like it. Every student is warm and welcoming as soon as you walk up those famous steps.

You will not regret joining the community we have at RCSSD. Once you've completed your studies you will be at the forefront of the industry and employers will want to snap you up as soon as you leave. You will forever be respected and be one of the most highly skilled personnel in your new work space, as you would have learnt so much about your craft as well as grown as a person.

Uni Facilities

All spaces on Campus are on offer for students to book out for personal projects or rehearsals of assignments. The booking system is quite faffy and hard to book because of COVID protocols, the reason for only 4 stars.

Equipment including, high end professional filming equipment, lighting, sound recording. Not to mention the world class costume and props department and students who regularly get involved in productions.

Included with the facilities, is our world class theatre. Here we showcase all of our productions to the industries finest individuals, pushing our career prospects into the next dimension.

On site we also have a Cafe and Restaurant which can cater for all students needs.

Course and Lecturers

The course is 90% practical and in person.
During COVID-19 this has changed slightly, but this was expected for all creative courses.
Only module taught online is Screen Study, the history and analysis of screen performance.

Job Prospects

The institute provide as much support and opportunity to our students to showcase our talent and network with potential employers. Unfortunately, with this industry, it isn't as easy to find work as outsiders may think. A lot of the work has to be completed by the students ourselves, as we're the ones who are searching for work.

Student Support

Teachers and lecturers are incredibly supportive of our personal and professional development. They make themselves really accessible via email or in person if you have any questions or queries surrounding your time of your studies.

Our Students Union provide weekly sessions in support of student's mental or physical health obstacles, constantly being there to support any student overcome an obstacle during their training.
