Who is this course for?
If you want to develop your career in the fast-growing aviation industry this course is perfect.
You'll need to have been employed within the aircraft maintenance industry for at least two years and want to develop your career in the fast-growing aviation industry.
Current students include engineers and maintenance staff with the majority having a license/professional education. We also welcome students with a military background and the course is compatible with The MoD's Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS).
Teaching and assessment
Throughout your course you will learn from academic staff with extensive industry experience, alongside specialist lecturers from the aviation sector.
You will work in small teams to examine the relevant issues in each module designed to develop a specific skill. You will also have access to online assessment and communication tools to interact with lecturers and other students. A dissertation related to experience in the industry is required.

Applicants must be employed in the aviation industry for at least two years to be considered for this programme. You will normally require a professional licence, for example an Air Transport Pilot's Licence, Aircraft Engineer Licence, Air Traffic Controller Licence or similar. However, applicants with Bachelor’s degrees in an aviation related subject (aeronautical engineering, aviation management or similar) will also be considered. The mandatory Induction Workshop to our MSc programmes must be passed and will assess the English capability and writing skills required for the MSc programme. Students must successfully pass the Induction Workshop before commencing with the MSc programme. The Induction Workshop is a short course offered every three months, which means you can apply to the MSc Aircraft Maintenance Management at any point during the year.
