Introduction

Master the latest advances in financial technology and prepare for an exciting career in a fast-moving area, with our Fintech and Data Analysis MBA in Chelmsford. You’re future-oriented and passionate about the possibilities generated by blockchain technology and digital currencies. Our Master of Business Administration course will prepare you to make your mark in a field that’s continually and rapidly innovating, developing and disrupting. You want to learn the high-level skills required to create data-informed trading strategies, financial models and business forecasts, but you’re also ambitious and want to present a full package to employers. Alongside technical know-how, we’ll teach you how to use outputs to formulate marketing and performance strategies, and help you develop as a leader.

We know first-hand experience is important and so, as a postgraduate student at ARU, you’ll get hands-on from day one to formulate innovative solutions to real-world problems. You’ll learn how to create your own applications and analyse big data using R and Python, and make extensive use of our Bloomberg Financial Markets Lab. You’ll also benefit from opportunities to network with guest speakers and at FinTech events in London. You can take an optional placement year in industry, with many FinTech firms in Essex and London to choose from. We want you to graduate ready to hit the ground running. That’s why we’ve worked with employers and current students to ensure we teach the most relevant, up-to-date knowledge and skills on our Fintech and Data Analysis MBA course.

How you'll be assessed

Assessment will take a variety of forms that reflect the innovative and varied nature of FinTech. These include written assignments, portfolio development, presentations, case studies, examinations and group work. The assessment will be directed to both test your achievement in the outcomes of the modules but also to develop your wider skills and knowledge in the area of financial innovation.

Careers

FinTech is a rapidly evolving field that values adaptive and innovative individuals who aren’t afraid to take the initiative and disrupt the status quo. We teach leadership, management, strategy and marketing skills alongside technical skills, so you’ll graduate as a well-rounded candidate ready to ascend the career ladder. Graduation doesn’t have to be the end of your time with us. You could choose to continue your academic career with our Business PhD – School of Management or Business PhD – School of Economics, Finance and Law.
